Flood And Harris Honored As WestConn Athletics Wolves Of The Week

DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday.  The 31st overall of 2024-25 and 17th Wolves of the Week of 2025 have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the track and the court. Women's track and field freshman Ashlyn Flood (Stamford, Conn.) and men's tennis senior Caleb Harris (Guilford, Conn.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Flood finished sixth in the javelin throw with a distance of 32.20 in the Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet at tUMass Dartmouth.  Flood's performance accounted for the WestConn point in the team standings and earned her a spot on the LEC All-Rookie Team.  

Harris won with freshman teammate Jose Zambrano  to record WestConn's only point and forced a tiebreaker in his singles match in an 8-1 setback at Rhode Island College.  He won in straight sets in singles to help the Wolves down Albertus Magnus, 5-2, and won, 8-2, in doubles and 6-0, 6-0 in singles in WestConn's 7-2 victory at Castleton.
