DANBURY, Conn. - WestConn Athletics is pleased to announce a new awards program for its student-athletes to spotlight their outstanding performances in their given sports the previous.  Each week, one female and one male student-athlete will be selected by the department as the Wolves of the Week and the awardees will be announced on Wednesdays. The fourth Wolves of the Week of 2024 fall season have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the soccer field.  Men's soccer senior Kadin Talho (Waterbury, Conn.) and Women's soccer sophomore Gracen Regan (Monroe, NJ.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Talho had two goals and two assists in a 3-0-1 week for the Wolves. He had the first goal of the game in WestConn's 3-0 non-conference win at Western New England before scoring the game-tying marker in the 46th minute and assisting on the game-winner in the 75th minute of the Wolves' 2-1 league victory over Keene State. Talho ended the week with an assist in WestConn's  1-1 draw versus Williams. Talho was also named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week. Regan posted a pair of clean sheet victories for the Wolves last week. She turned away five shots on goal in a 3-0 non-conference win over Sage before stopping each of the four shots on target she faced in a 3-0 conference triumph over Keene State. Regan was also named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week.
