DANBURY, Conn. - WestConn Athletics is pleased to announce a new awards program for its student-athletes to spotlight their outstanding performances in their given sports the previous.  Each week, one female and one male student-athlete will be selected by the department as the Wolves of the Week and the awardees will be announced on Wednesdays.  The third Wolves of the Week of 2024 fall season have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the field hockey turf and the football field.  Football senior Julian Ferguson (Enfield, Conn.) and field hockey freshman Jaelyn Moulton (Stafford Springs, Conn.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Ferguson caught eight passes for 132 yards in WestConn's 44-6 win at Massachusetts Maritime.  He caught a 49-yard touchdown pass to give the Wolves a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter and added a one-yard scoring reception later in the game.  Moulton was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after scoring one goal and assisting on the game-winner in the Wolves' 2-1 overtime triumph at Wilkes.
