Brace And Paulino Honored As WestConn Athletics Wolves Of The Week

4/9/2025 2:38:00 PM

DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday.  The 28th overall of 2024-25 and 14th Wolves of the Week of 2025 have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the turf and the track. Women's lacrosse sophomore Morgan Brace (.) and men's track and field freshman Anthony Paulino (Bristol, Conn.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Brace scored four goals and assisted on a fifth tally to lead the Wolves to a 14-8 win on the road against Little East Conference (LEC) rival Keene State last week.  Brace also collected seven draw controls and caused a pair of turnovers versus the Owls, who were unbeaten in the league prior to last Friday's game.  Brace has 15 goals and 34 draw controls as a starting midfielder for WestConn this spring.

Paulino won the long jump with a distance of 22'10.75", as the Wolves competed in the Rage in the Cage Invitational at the University of Hartford over the weekend.  Paulino's performance gave WestConn eight of its 13 points in the team standings and it was .70 meters better than his previous best in the event.
