DANBURY, Conn. - WestConn Athletics is pleased to announce a new awards program for its student-athletes to spotlight their outstanding performances in their given sports the previous.  Each week, one female and one male student-athlete will be selected by the department as the Wolves of the Week and the awardees will be announced on Wednesdays.  The fifth Wolves of the Week of 2024 fall season have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the volleyball court and the football field.  Football senior Kamryn Holmes (Branford, Conn.) and volleyball graduate student Olivia Monteleone (Cold Spring, N.Y.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Holmes rushed 147 yards on just 10 carries in WestConn's 72-0 win against Fitchburg State. He leads the Wolves with 319 rushing yards and is averaging eight yards per carry after four games.  Monteleone collected 98 assists, 27 digs and three aces in three matches. During WestConn's conference opener against Keene State, Monteleone collected 33 assists, seven digs and two aces.
