DANBURY, Conn. - Each week, WestConn Athletics selects one female and one male student-athlete as the Wolves of the Week, recognizing their outstanding performances in their respective sports from the previous week. The honorees are announced every Wednesday.  The 22nd overall and eighth Wolves of the Week of 2025 have been selected thanks to their strong performances on the court and the track. Men's lacrosse senior Julian Duque (Mastic, N.Y.) and women's lacrosse junior Madison Ratchford (Ridge, N.Y.) have been named as the Wolves of the Week.

Duque, who was also was named the Little East Conference (LEC) Offensive Player of the Week, totaled our goals and four assists in WestConn's 15-14 overtime win over Ursinus and their 10-8 victory at Misericordia.  He notched three goals and three assists against Ursinus, scoring the game-tying goal as time expired to force the extra session and then netting the clincher in the overtime.  He also had a goal and an assist at Misericordia and became WestConn's all-time leading goal scorer wth his 187th career goal in the Ursinus game.

Ratchford was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week after she scored seven goals and added an assist in WestConn's 21-6 season-opening win against Framingham State.  She also had a ground ball and a caused turnover in the win.  Ratchford led the Wolves in goals last spring with 46.
