NEW LONDON, Conn. - Senior
Darline Fleurimond (Stamford, Conn.) finished 14th in the 100-meter dash and 17th in the 200 meters, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves continued its inaugural women's outdoor track and field season in the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College this weekend. The Wolves will compete in two meets next weekend, heading to Eastern Connecticut on Friday, April 18 for the Bonnie Edmondson Invitational and to Hartford for the Trinity Invitational the next day.
Fleurimond posted a time of 13.52 in the 100 meters and 28 seconds flat in the 200 meters. WestConn freshman
Marisol Tapia (Danbury, Conn.) added an 18th-place time of 3:02.80 in the 800-meter run, while junior
Alexandra O'Meara (Wolcott, Conn.) was 34th in the 1,500 meters and sophomore Jelise Watson (Bridgeport, Conn.) was 34th in the 100 meters and 37th in the 200 meters.
