Ashlyn Flood (Stamford, Conn.) finished fifth in the javelin throw with a distance of 32.31 meters, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves opened the 2025 women's outdoor track and field season in the Corsair Classic at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth this afternoon.
The Wolves, competing in their first-ever outdoor meet, scored five points to tie Massachusetts Maritime for 13th place including four on Flood's performance and one more thanks to an eighth-place distance of 33.97 meters by Wolves sophomore

Darline Fleurimond (Stamford, Conn.) competed in three sprints, finishing 16th in both the 100- and 400-meter dash and 19th in the 200 meters.
