DARTMOUTH, Mass. - The Western Connecticut State University Wolves opened the 2025 men's outdoor track and field season in the Corsair Classic at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth this afternoon. The Wolves, competing in their first-ever outdoor meet, scored 12 points to finish 11th in the team standings. WestConn will compete in the Rage in the Cage Invitational at the University of Hartford next on Sunday, April 6.

Anthony Paulino (Bristol, Conn.) placed third in the long jump at 6.28 meters and senior
Nick Howlett (North Haven, Conn.) was fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:47.86. Wolves freshman
Marciel Do Amaral (Danbury, Conn.) earned a point with an eighth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.74, while Paulino, seniors
Tyler Loth (Bethel, Conn.) and
Kenneth Okoroafor (Trumbull, Conn.) and freshman
Colby Gedney (Barrington, N.H.) posted an eighth-place time of 44.73 in the 4x100-meter relay. WestConn sophomore
Kenneth Scholl (East Islip, N.Y.) highlighted the throws with a distance of 41.75 in the discus to finish fifth in his heat.
