PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Freshman
Annalee Holcomb (New Milford, Conn.) finished second in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:10.07, as the Western Connecticut State University Wolves participated in their first-ever Little East Conference (LEC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet at Providence Career & Technical High School over the weekend. Holcomb earns LEC All-Confereence Second Team honors, LEC All-Rookie Team recognition, and was selected as the LEC Women's Indoor Track and Field 2025 Track Rookie of the Year for her outstanding performance.
The Wolves earned eight of their nine points on Holcomb's performance and added one more on her sixth-place time of 27.27 in the 200-meter dash. Southern Maine won the team title with 121 points. Holcomb was just .18 seconds shy of first in the 400 meters, while WestConn senior
Darline Fleurimond (Stamford, Conn.) added respective finishes of seventh place in the 400 meters and eighth place in the 200 meters. Wolves junior

Vivian Pereira (Bethel, Conn.) was close behind in ninth. WestConn will continue the championship season next weekend with the New England Division III Championships in Boston.
