HAMDEN, Conn. - Freshman
Nick Lobuono (Trumbull, Conn.) went 3-for-5 with a walk, two runs and three RBIs and accounted for the game-winning run in the ninth inning with a solo homer to lead the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 9-8 win over the Albertus Magnus College Falcons in baseball action this afternoon at Rochford Park. WestConn snaps an eight-game losing skid and improves to 9-23, while the Falcons drop to 9-22. The Wolves will close the 2025 season with a Little East Conference (LEC) doubleheader at Southern Maine on Friday at noon.

Richard Salonia (Bronx, N.Y.) singled early in the inning and scored on a two-run single by senior Nick Moeller (Mahopac, N.Y.). Lobuono added an RBI double to drive home Moeller and the Falscons helped WestConn's cause with two errors in the inning.
