CASTLETON, Vt. - Senior attack
Julian Duque (Mastic, N.Y) erupted to tally game-highs of six goals and three assists to lead the Western Connecticut State University men's lacrosse squad to a 13-2 victory at Vermont State University Castleton on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Wolves remain undefeated in Little East Conference play, improving to 6-6 overall and 3-0 in league action. The Spartans sank to 1-7 and 0-1.

Tyler Starrett (Redding, Conn.) fired home his 24th goal of the season, giving WestConn a 4-2 lead at the break.
The second half was all Wolves. They outscored the Spartans 9-0 the rest of the way. Duque pierced the scoring column to spark the outburst early in the third. He then tallied the final three goals of the contest, including his 27th of the campaign, rounding the scoring out at 13-2.

Jake Kelly (Bethpage, N.Y.) earned the win and stopped seven shots, while Castleton netminder Zac Smith took the loss and finished with 11 saves.
The Wolves return to action when they host UMass Boston in another LEC matchup on Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m.
