WestConn scored in each of the first four innings, including nine times in the third frame.  Lehman fought back and put up 10 runs in the eighth inning to make the score, 17-14, and force Wolves rookie reliever Brandon Payne (Milford, Conn.) to earn his first career save with a perfect ninth inning.  Trailing, 1-0, after a half inning, WestConn tied the game in the bottom of the first on an RBI double by Moeller and took a 5-1 lead after two frames thanks to a two-run home by Corcoran and a two-run double by Mueller.

WestConn senior OF Spencer Barnett (Danbury, Conn.) added a solo homer and both Corcoran and Moeller smacked two-run doubles to highlight the four-run third inning.  The Wolves scored twice in the fourth on a passed ball and a sacrifice fly by sophomore 2B Ryan Vallie (East Haven, Conn) and added one more un in the seventh on a bases-loaded HBP by freshman SS Mitch Landau (Northport, N.Y.).  WestConn freshman RHP Brayden Barron (Southington, Conn.) went five innings and allowed seven hits and three runs with six strikeouts to collect his first career victory.  Renil Maldonado had three hits for Lehman.
