WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Sophomore attacker Samantha Parades (Brentwood, N.Y.) tallied the lone goal for the Western Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team on Tuesday evening. The Wolves fell at non-conference foe Williams College, 19-1. With the loss, WestConn saw its five-game win streak snapped as they moved to 5-1 overall, while the Ephs improved to 1-2.
The hosts opened the contest with six straight goals and held the visitors without a shot to open the first quarter. It was a similar story the rest of the way as WestConn was unable to string together a rally.
Parades took a feed from
Isabella Pota to notch the scoring strike before halftime to break up the shutout.
WestConn will seek to get back to its winning ways when they head to Florida for a pair of games. They open the trip against Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday at 11 a.m.
