Jaelyn Moulton (Stafford Springs, Conn.) gave the visiting western Connecticut State University Wolves a 1-0 lead at halftime with her goal with 5:02 left in the second quarter, but the University of Southern Maine Huskies scored twice in the second half to collect a 2-1 win in Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey action this afternoon at Hannaford Field. Neither team recorded a shot-on-goal in the first quarter. Kilmer made consecutive saves on shots by Southern Maine's Bri Townsend early in the second quarter, and Ruiz sent the ball across the circle to Moulton who scored the Wolves goal moments later after a WestConn penalty corner. Senior forward
Reagan Schoen (Newtown, Conn.) was stopped by Huskies goalie Eleanor Folsom 19 seconds into the final stanza, while Kilmer registered her eighth save early in the fourth quarter. Townsend scored the clincher in transition with 8:40 left in the game.
