Taylor Salato paced the Warriors with a game-high 27 points while Marissa Nudd racked up 21.Â
The hosts raced out to an early 18-7 advantage. Nudd wrapped up the run when she scurried in for a layup. WestConn had trouble staging a comeback as the Warriors extended the lead to 43-20 at halftime.Â
It was a similar story in the second half as the Wolves couldn't string together a surge and the Warriors sailed the rest of the way.
With the loss, WestConn dropped its fourth straight, moving to 4-8 overall and 2-1 in league play, while Eastern improved to 3-8 and 2-1. The Wolves will look to snap the skid when they host the University of Southern Maine in yet another LEC matchup on Saturday at 1 p.m.
