Marcel Henry (Yonkers, N.Y.) who shot a combined 8-of-11 from the floor. The Wolves nailed nearly 46 percent of their shots while the Beacons were held to just a 21 percent clip.
The game changed hands several times in the opening half before UMass Boston entered the break with a 33-27 advantage when Tyler Victor drained a pair of free throws. The Beacons built it up to a seven-point cushion before WestConn retaliated with a second half surge. Henry sparked the comeback with a shot from inside the paint with 14:12 remaining. With the win, WestConn improved to 11-8 overall and 7-3 in league play, while UMass Boston dropped to 9-9 and 4-6. WestConn notched its third straight victory and will look to extend the streak to four when they head to Vermont State University Castleton on Saturday at 4 p.m.
