DANBURY, Conn. - Seniors
Keeshawn Jones (Middletown, N.Y.) and
Jourdan Belcher (Elmsford, N.Y.) propelled the Western Connecticut State University men's basketball team to an 86-74 victory over visiting Little East Conference foe UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon. Jones finished with a game-high 25 points and 11 rebounds while Belcher added 21 points to guide the Wolves to the win.

Cameron Gallon (York, Pa.) provided the defensive punch for the Wolves with game-highs of five steals and two blocks.Â
Rookie guard Camden Dichiara (Lincoln, R.I.) paced the Corsairs with 16 points off the bench, while graduate student forward Michael Eurquhart Jr. (Pittsfield, Mass.) contributed a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
The squads exchanged the lead several times throughout the opening half before the Wolves took a 43-42 lead into halftime.Â
The contest remained close early in the second stanza before the hosts put together a 13-0 barrage which ended up putting the game out of reach for the visitors. Rookie forward
Marcel Henry (Yonkers, N.Y.) wrapped up the spurt with a layup with 7:56 remaining. UMass Dartmouth would not be able to answer the rest of the way.
With the win, the Wolves improved to 9-8 overall and 5-3 in LEC play, while the Corsairs dropped to 5-10 and 2-5. WestConn returns to the floor when they host Plymouth State on Saturday at 3 p.m.
