Riley Bannatyne, a former teammate of head coach Rachael Griffith, joined the WestConn women's lacrosse coaching staff in the fall of 2024. Bannatyne graduated from Florida Southern in 2020 and was a four-year letterwinner for the Moccasins. Bannatyne was a midfielder and draw specialist and helped Florida Southern win two Sunshine State Conference titles and advance to to two NCAA Division II National Championship title games. She was the eighth player in program history to record over 100 draw controls (120) and team MVP, an all-conference, All-Regional, and a 2020 Inside Lacrosse Third-Team All-American honoree for the Moccasins, and was named 2020 Team MVP. Bannatyne was an assistant coach at Princeton University in 2022 and has worked at the LaxManiax (Florida) program with draw clinics. She has also been a high school official.
