Matt Grogan

The Western Connecticut State University men's ice hockey program added Matt Grogan to the coaching staff for the Wolves' inaugural season in 2025-26. Grogan will serve as WestConn's goaltending coach.  Grogan is a 2014 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he was a standout goalkeeper for the Huskies. Before joining UConn, he played junior hockey in the AJHL and NAHL leagues.  After graduating from UConn, Grogan played four years professionally in the ECHL and SPHL leagues. He has coached at both the junior level (EHL and NAHL) as well as with NCAA Division 1 program at Holy Cross University. Grogan is currently the Founder and Director of Prime Goaltending, which he established in 2018.
