Western Connecticut State University hired Lamar Mayo as an assistant women's basketball coach in the fall of 2024. Mayo came to WestConn from Greens Farms Academy in Westport where he was an assistant under Wolves Head Coach Maria Conlon form 2022 to 2024. Mayo had followed Conlon to the Greens Farms Academy staff after also assisting on the Notre Dame High School in Fairfield women's basketball team with her from 2020 to 2022. He is also a coach with the BattleCon AAU women's basketball program and has previously coached with Bria Holmes Elite and the New Jersey Sparks AAU teams.
