Charline Plasczynski joined the Western Connecticut State University softball coaching staff in the fall os 2024. Plasczynski had an impressive and unique playing career at WestConn and graduated in 2021. She was the LEC Rookie of the Year and was named to National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-New England Third Team and the LEC All-Conference Team in 2017. After a fine playing career for the Wolves, Plasczynski coached at Trinity College from 2021 to 2023 before returning to her alma mater to play shortstop for the Wolves as a graduate student last spring. In 2024, Plasczynski earned LEC academic awards and earned her masters in addiction studies. Plasczynski holds the WestConn single-season assist record and is the program's career leader in games played and at-bats. Plasczynski as an assistant will be focusing on the infield and hitting.
