Amy Krompinger returns for a third season to the Western Connecticut State University field hockey program in the fall of 2025. She is former Division I player at the University of Connecticut, where she was a defensive player and a participant in the NCAA Final Four.
Krompinger owns and is the head coach of AIM Athletes Field Hockey club based in nearby Newtown. Currently a Level 2 USAFH Field Hockey Coach, she played NCAA Division I Field Hockey at the University of Connecticut.
Krompinger is currently a member of the USA Masters Over-35 team for whom she competed in the 2023 Pan American Games in Argentina. She led Team USA and finished second in her division in scoring at the Pan Am Games. In 2025 she played on Team USA in Canada during the CANAM Indoor Games. Krompinger lives with her husband and three children in Newtown.
