Kayla Hnasko was hired as an assistant coach for the Western Connecticut State University field hockey team in the fall of 2023. Hnasko was WestConn's starting goalkeeper the previous three seasons and ranks third all-time at WestConn in saves (362), shutouts (4), and gk games started and played (50).
Hnasko played one year of field hockey at Coker College where she helped that squad win the program's first South Atlantic Conference Championship. Hnasko transferred to WestConn as a sophomore where she earned Little East Conference (LEC) All-Conference honors. Hnasko collected multiple academic accolades as a collegian and finished eighth nationally in saves in 2023. Hnasko won two state New Jersey state titles at Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School and played for New Jersey Spartans Field Hockey Club. She has been the goalkeeper coach at AIM Athletes Field Hockey Club for the past three years.
