Julian Duque (Mastic, N.Y.) racked up five goals and one assist to guide the Western Connecticut State University men's lacrosse team to a 29-1 victory over visiting Little East Conference opponent Salem State University on Senior Day at the WAC on Saturday afternoon.

Kyle Cuccio (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) tacked on four goals and one helper while graduate student attack
Tyler Starrett (Redding, Conn.) chipped in with four scoring strikes. Junior midfielder Tyler Kalloo (Peabody, Mass.) broke up the shutout for the Vikings with a marker late in the contest.
As the final score would indicate, the Wolves dominated play. They outshot the Vikings, 71-14, while winning the ground ball battle, 55-19.
Cuccio opened the scoring when he took a feed from classmate
Kai Bruneau (West Haven, Conn.) and fired home a shot on the man-up for his first goal of the campaign. Junior
Creighen Watson (Rocky Point, N.Y.) rounded out the first quarter flurry with his first goal of the season to widen the gap to 9-0.
Duque reeled off three straight goals in the second which included his team-leading 42nd of the year, extending the advantage to 16-0.
With the victory, the Wolves improved to 10-6 overall while remaining undefeated in league play at 7-0. The Vikings fell to 7-7 and 1-6. WestConn returns to action for another LEC tilt when they host Keene State on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
