Tristan McMahon (Farmingville, N.Y.) led the Wolves with one goal and one assist apiece.
Michael Novotny paced the Hawks with a game-high five goals while Aidan Kemp notched a hat trick.
The Hawks were able to control possession for much of the contest as Ben Costanzo won 21-of-22 faceoffs. The hosts also won the battle on the ground, 37-20. Hartford held a slight edge in shots, 40-34.

Julian Duque (Mastic, N.Y.) took a pass from McMahon and tickled the twine. However, the Hawks responded with a five of the next six scores to snag a 6-2 halftime lead.

Tyler Starrett (Redding, Conn.) rounded out the scoring when he found the back of the net off a feed from Hawthorne, setting the final at 14-4.
With the loss, the Wolves skid hit three games as the dropped to 3-3. The Hawks improved to 1-3. WestConn returns to action across town as they square off against Trinity College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
