Jimmy Muthersbaugh (Bethel, Conn.) did not allow an earned run and struck out five over five innings to lead the Western Connecticut State University Wolves to a 10-3 victory over the Newport News Apprentice School Builders in game two of a baseball doubleheader this evening at Griffith Field. WestConn, which rallied back after a 17-0 loss in the first game, stops a six-game losing streak and heads back to Connecticut with a 4-6 record. Sophomore

Elliot Kleinman (Nanuet, N.Y.) went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run, and two RBIs to pace the Wolves offense.

Peter Coniglio (New Milford, Conn.) and Vallie singled to start the game and Coniglio scored the first on a sacrifice fly bu freshman 1B Nick LoBuono (Trumbull, Conn.). Wolves senior OF
Spencer Barnett (Danbury, Conn.) drove in a run with a double that bounced in just inside the right field line and then landed on the other side of a fence. Kleinman gave WestConn a 3-0 lead after the first frame on a bases-loaded HBP. Apprentice scored on an unearned run in the second frame and nearly got a bunch in the third, but Muthersbaugh struck out the side and left three Builders stranded on the bases. Kleinman doubled home one run and both Coniglio and Vallie had run-scoring singles in the sixth inning to put WestConn ahead, 6-1.
