Cameron Gallon (York, Pa.) made the final two of his team-high 32 points count in a bug way with a last second layup to give the visiting Western Connecticut State University Wolves a 96-94 win over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Corsairs in the Little East Conference (LEC) season finale for both teams this afternoon at Tripp Athletic Center/. WestConn wins for the ninth time in a row to finish 17-8 overall and secure the No. 2 seed and a bye in the LEC Championship Tournament next week. UMass Dartmouth ends its regular slate at 9-16 overall and 6-10 in the league, sneaking into the LEC Tourney at the No. 6 seed. The Wolves trailed, 92-85, with 1:32 left but scored 11 of the game's final 13 points, including seven by Gallon, to steal the victory.

Jourdan Belcher (Elmsford, N.Y.) ended a 7-0 Corsair run with a layup at the 1:23 mark and then made a steal and fed Gallon for a three-pointer moments later. Camden DiChiara made a pair of free throws for UMass Dartmouth, to make it, 94-90, with 47 seconds on the clock, but Gallon answered with two of his own from the charity stripe. Senior
Keeshawn Jones (Middletown, N.Y.) made another WestConn steal and finished with a game-tying layup with 27 seconds remaining. UMass Dartmouth was called for an offensive foul and with two ticks left Wolves junior
Jahlyl Morgan (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) lofted a perfect pass from the end line to the opposite foul line that was hauled down by Belcher who calmly passed to a streaking Gallon for the clinching bucket.
The first half was highly competitive, ending in a 47-45 Corsair lead as Jones scored off an offensive rebound with 22 seconds left before the break. DiChiara drilled a trey with 14:25 on the clock to give the home team a 10-point lead at 62-52 and the Corsairs led by 12 with 12:15 left before the Wolves fought back and took a 74-73 lead on a steal by Jones and Gallon fastbreak dunk at the 7:41 mark.
